Other Versions of You wrapped principle photography in October 2016. We are currently in postproduction.
Diggsy Ellston has been in love with Suzette Larking since he was 9 years old. After she marries another man, Diggsy finds himself alone in a bar meeting a stranger who offers him an unbelievable gift: a chance to find another Suzette.
This opportunity comes in the form of a key. But it's not just any key. It's a key that can open doors into alternate realities. Universes parallel to his own. Universes where other versions of Suzette may not only exist, but where one of them could possibly even love him back.
Sounds magical, but there's one major catch: Once Diggsy uses the key, he can't go back; he will forever leave everyone and everything he has ever known. Diggsy’s hesitation lies in the strong bond he shares with his sister, Daphne, but he justifies his decision to leave on the belief that she wants him to move on in life.
Once Diggsy crosses through the first door, his adventure grabs a hold of him and refuses to let go. He meets Suzette after Suzette, most of them vastly different than the one he’s loved his entire life. Some of these versions of Suzette offer hope, and others send him sprinting toward another reality. Every door he passes through presents a new set of struggles, decisions, and challenges.
Diggsy’s adventure resonates with many of us. Do you take a big chance at pursuing something with so much potential, or do you continue to wait for something to happen without taking action? And if you do take the plunge, are you willing to reevaluate your path when opportunities arise?
With every new universe comes a new decision: Stay or leave? Settle or keep chasing the dream of finding a Suzette who will love him? Allow himself to fall in love with someone else? Diggsy’s journey is filled with comedy, heartbreak, adventure, and a heavy dose of fish out of water.
